What Neil Craigie doesn't like about The Plough:
I went there for a roast meal on Sunday as we had been before but found the veg very hard and the beef was a bit tough. It used to be alright but might have been a one off. View all feedback.
Great place for a lovely country lunch. Food was really good quality both meat and my daughter’s veg/vegan halloumi wrap. Great selection of traditional ales kept really well.
The restaurant recently underwent a change in management and hired a new chef. Intrigued, my family and I decided to try it out for Sunday lunch. The Scotch egg was delicious. The roast beef, slow roast pork, and vegetarian Sunday dinners were all fantastic, served with fresh vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. The desserts, including fruit crumble, cheesecake, and tiramisu, were also a hit.
This village pub is fantastic and checks all the boxes. The food is wonderful, with a great selection of drinks to pair with it, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's exactly what a pub should be.
Beautiful traditional pub that doesn't rip you off for a pint of beer. No complaints at all
We popped into The Plough when passing what a wonderful surprise we got! The place was packed but we were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was superb, the beer well kept both very reasonably priced. The supersonic bar lady/ waitress managed to make everyone feel special despite being run off her feet. We will definitely be back
