We just happened to be at the Mortels shop to make an exchange on a gift we were given. We noticed a cafe next door so thought we'd pop in for a coffee before going home. What a surprise! The place was almost full with people at tables ordering lunch. We found a vacant table, looked at the menu and decided on an early lunch. What User doesn't like about Mortels Cafe:
Good place to stop on a trip. The food is quite acceptable and the portions are large as you expect in the country. They provide an all-day breakfast. Lots of gluten free options available. You can sit inside or out in the sun and level access is provided to the interior. Nothing special about the meals but the young staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking but a bit difficult to get in from the main road. View all feedback.
The artworks were great. The vanilla slice was sweet and creamy and amazing. The kids loved the sheep place cards on the tables. Coffee was delicious and a great range of gluten free cakes. Only problem was there were too many delicious things on the menu it made it hard to pick.
Amazing food, their signature salad is delicious. Great prices and friendly staff. Would recommend it to everyone.
Had lunch and coffee here and am pleased to report that I loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful; the food, fresh and tasty; and the coffee, devine! The piece of biscotti really hit the spot too! I would commend cafe at Mortels to anyone who enjoys a good lunch with a friendly rustic atmosphere.
