What Nelda Bogisich doesn't like about Thorton Ice Cream Parlour:
a tradition with new competition in Thornton. The ice cream is good, lots of flavours.Home made waffle cones and lots of extras $$.Just a little overpriced compared to nearby options.Outdoor seating while you tackle your treats.A fun place for a couple of visits each summer. View all feedback.
We stopped in for a late breakfast. The service was warm and friendlyThe breakfast was just ok. Old coffee was served, the eggs were cold on the plate, toast not really toasted, left over home fries deep fried a second timeBut the soup was really good, cream of potatoe with real bacon and served hotAs I am also in the food and beverage this place can flourish with just the right chef
We were in the area dropping of the boat for winterizing and heard some folks talking about Thorton Ice Cream Parlour so we went looking for it. This is a neat little place that has an old school parlour look to it and they serve up some pretty good ice cream. Not sure if it's made onsite but it sure tastes like it does. I am coming back to pickup the boat in the next few weeks and as long as it isn't artic temps outside I will stop by for an ice cream.
Out with my granddaughters we stopped in to try the all day breakfast. We were all very happy with our eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. The home fries were, we all agreed, outstanding, the eggs tasted as fresh as if they'd gone out the back to fetch them from the hen house and the jam was a yummy home made preserve. Our service was warm and friendly. The girls finished our visit off with generous portions of frozen yogurt (oreo cookie flavour) and we'd happily return.
