Nice diner good location, had the triple decker club sandwich with coleslaw and a coke. Like days of old. Great metal sign collection on the walls. Lots of polished aluminium, counter to sit at or booths your choice, a true classic diner. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wimpy's Diner:
Driving in circles deciding to have breakfast or wait for lunch. Brunch?I wanted to go to a Family 88 restaurant or something like that, but it was closed for some reason or another until Nov 16th (or 18th), so went to Shopsy's - haven't been there in a loooooog time. And it will be another long time since it was closed. Ended up at Wimpy's. Nothing too brilliant to report. Just another american breakfast and off I w... View all feedback.
If your into Hamburgers---Big Boys........this is the place took up the whole plate and then some---make sure you tell them well done
It's a diner, and I like "diners". Service provided is like a diner's, casual and nothing fancy.Coffee is fine unless you like Starbuck's higher octane... which I don't.Ambience: Diner look, with checkerboard tiled floor, photos of past movie stars, Elvis and other memorabilia. There's even a juke box selector at each booth.Food:They offer 3 or 4 egg omelettes or egg dishes. No worries about dying from blood-sludge... these eggs require a microscope to find BUT its a great marketing technique, no??So, 4 eggs are really two and three are really one and a 1/2... so don't be afraid to go for the biggie breakfasts! I ordered 3-eggs with corned beef hash. A "new item" on the menu. Sorry... not that great. Pretty salty but otherwise not that tasteful. (Yes.. I KNOW that corned beef is supposed to be "salty";) it's just that it wasn't all that "tasty".I'll stick to bacon next time. According to the menu, you get four slices.Prices are comfy. No loud music killing your ears so you can hear or have a conversation with someone.Parking is free and plentiful as the place is located in a mall with outside and inside access. Thanks to Patricia for the easy-going good service.Would I return?Yup. In fact I'll be back this week for another round...
Located in a mall, this 50's-60's style restaurant serves good food for decent prices. Had breakfast there and it was very good and the portions were large. They serve 4-egg and 5-egg omelets.
The place is well decorated. The food is not ok. My wife is the critics and she threw up on the burger. She thinks even the Harvey regular burgers and the Golden Star burgers is much better than this. Also had the chocolate milk sake and it is way too sweet. The fries has some weird taste and a little bit bitter. In conclusion, the food quality is running down compare the other Whimpy store I had years ago. Price is too expensive for such quality food

As you know, this place is littered with old posters and memorabilias. One thing that caught my eye was a tootsie roll add. I do believe that the Political Correctness peeps would have field day with it.
