Complaints ranged from unripe fruit and unpleasant smells to small portions and disrespectful staff. On the other hand, some reviewers praised the decent pho, affordable prices, and variety of menu options. Overall, while some customers had positive experiences with fresh and flavorful dishes, others were left feeling underwhelmed by their visit.
Dropped in for a quick lunch. Had the rare beef and tendon pho. Medium was almost too much. The beef was very very thin and a little tough. Tendon was almost missing. Broth was okay. I will try elsewhere.
As the years go by...carbs..rice/noodles are the basis of their dishes....chicken/beef/seafood...you need a magnifying glass to find
I've been a long time customer of this location, for what feels like approximately 5 years. I've recently been out of the country for work and returned, wanting to go back to this spot. I couldn't help but feel the staff has completely changed, before they were chinese I think and now they seemed to be speaking a different language. Service was absolutely disrespectful eitherway. Our drinks took 20 minutes to 'make'. And when asked where our drink was, one of the male servers rudely brushed us off saying I don't know and left. Dishes were such small portions with plates changed to be flatter for less serving. Even when we asked for the bill, we waved someone down and requested it in which we were told "okay, sure whatever". No one came for another 10 minutes, yet people were standing around doing nothing. When the lady specifically behind the back counter stepped out, again I tried asked "excuse me" and she completely looked at me and decided to ignore me, walking away from me as I called for her. Three other workers saw this interaction and tried to step up instead saying "oh yes, what do you want, she's busy" and I said BILL PLEASE. Never again will I be returning to this spot, it's such a shame as I have a lot of personal memories at this spot. Low quantity and quality, bad uncaring service. Such a shame.
Inside - the atmosphere was decent - we had a young waitress that appears she didn't want to be there and took it out on the clients. Had the pho - needed to ask the for fish sauce, pork chop and rice - again had to get up to ask for knife and fork. There was a more senior woman who was very courteous and apologized for not serving the sauce with the food. Didn't bother trying the Thai or Chinese as I don't think that is main forte. Stick the noodle soup and meat/rice - can't go wrong. For the total price and the time spent for dinner - can't really complain.
It’s been a few months since I last visited and I wondered if my experience would be just as good. Fortunately, I was not disappointed! While the menu is lengthy with many tempting dishes, I gravitated to my favourite. I got the pork loin with rice and my wife got the pad thai with chicken. The food was once again fresh, flavourful, and plentiful.
