I love this place! I use to go to the Dundas one all the time, I am so happy they opened one near home. The soup broth is rich and flavourful. You can get unlimited noodle refills. I usually put two bowls of noodles in while the soup is still hot (otherwise the second bowl of noodle doesn’t taste as good). It was pretty busy on a Friday night, but the service was super fast. We tried this place and would definitely be back. Be very aware that this soup literally comes to your table BOILING HOT. We got the crossing the bridge rice noodle and we had no idea what that even meant. Basically you get the items and then put it in the boiling soup yourself [it's actually more entertaining than it sounds]. The soup was tasty and they offer unlimited refills of rice noodles! The salty crispy chicken was tasty but not as juicy as I expected.
Their menu and all-you-can-refill noodles concept has made the DAGU Rice Noodle restaurant chains one of my favourite for soup noodles. This restaurant, in particular, has exceptional service. Unlike some of the restaurants in this chain, the staff at this Thornhill restaurant pay attention to what language you speak/are comfortable with. They service in more than just Mandarin. They also take the time to check in to ensure that you 're having a good experience. They have 'do not run ' signs on some walls and warning signs on the tables about how hot the bowls and soup are, so that nobody gets hurt from their piping hot, yet delicious noodles. I 'm overall quite happy with how this place is run, and of course, how flavourful their dishes (I mean bowls) are.
I came here for lunch with friends and plan to come back. The soup here is a good alternative to ramen. I liked the flavor of the mushroom broth soup, but next time will try the kim chi broth. I got one of the 'bridge ' soups and added beef. However, there are so many varieties of meet to add that next time I won 't add more meet. Although there were many different toppings, I would prefer if they included more vegetables. We split an appetizer of popcorn pork.
Good quality traditional Chinese rice noodle, with a decent and consistent soup base. Although not advertised, it does comes with unlimited noodles, you just have to ask for additional bowls from the wait staff.
