We're here yesterday and enjoyed our meal. It's a basic restaurant, but the food is good. We enjoyed the French dip and the patty melt! We also got the combo appetizers with fried mushrooms, fried cauliflowers (so good) and the active kegs that were great. But it's a lot of food! The curly pommes were also good. Just a lot of fried food. View all feedback.

A great place to gather with friends on Thursday evening for Queen of Hearts Raffle. Norm, Dan, John, Harley, Leroy and Melissa always make a great night with their service and great conversation.
We rented this place 3 different times and it is always great! Simple people to treat and very accommodating. Good work on rebuilding. Def recommend this place.
The American legion in Amsterdam is a big little place to throw parties. I've been to some parties all year round and enjoyed everyone. The upper floor is a huge event room that also has a good kitchen that you can use. You recently renovated the room and it's even better now. In addition to the event room at the top you have a cool bar at the bottom that has a small playroom with darts, billiards, and this cool game where you push these metal pucks down a huge wooden plate. Don't know the name of the game, but it's sweet. It's just a cool atmosphere and I never had any problems with the staff. I also see it as support for the Vets and I am a great believer in the support of our heroes, so I am more than happy to support this American legion. I believe the cost to rent the room above is about 200, and also a 100 (or $200, not really sure) deposit that they will return as long as you do not trust the place.
The Post was named after my Uncle John. I have not been to the post in several years but it is wonderful to see that it is still active!
