Riverbend - Thomaston

It was honestly over priced. 4 chicken tenders for almost 20$ and my son didn't like them, said they taste worse then dq. I had a burger and it tasted like a sonic burger 20$30$ per person.

Look, I've been going to Riverbend all of my life. Having been so many times through the years presents many good experiences, but also some that weren't so pleasant. However, this visit was out of the park. The fried whole catfish, which is their specialty, was fried and seasoned to perfection. The server was on her A game. We really enjoyed it. They no longer serve all you can eat catfish, but I never bothered with that anyway, a two piece is plenty.

We received fast and friendly service. The fish was delicious! They've cleared out some trees so you now can see the river much better!

We always eat catfish and it is delicious! We were told by another restaurant owner/manager that next time we went to Riverbend to try the steaks. Last night we both ordered steaks and were we surprised, very good, cooked just right, yummy!

This place is surprisingly efficient. We went there at 4:45 and there had to be 50 people ahead of us. When the door opened at 5, there were an additional 40 people behind us. We were ALL able to get a table, and within 30 or so minutes, everyone was eating. We were leaving around 6. The staff was very polite. Just keep on mind that they had about 100 people all sit down at once. You'll get more meat if you order the catfish filets, but they're a little more expensive. I was told that the line was like that every night. I will go back again and I live an hour away.
