It is very lovingly furnished. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food tasty and only once what I expect for such a place to meet and enjoy. And if the portions are too large, man/woman simply wanders around and then drinks an espresso or a beer with this great view! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Schaumberg Alm:
The service was unfriendly, there was no good day at greeting, but you reserved or spontaneous. The place was empty yesterday, there were 3 tables occupied and there was no cellar at the entrance that had the table to show. We just sat down at a table. 2023-May-26 Friday ca. 16:45 I (male, Senior, German and my middle aged thai Companion came here for Vesper Dinner. At this Time fortunately it wasn 't this much busy. We got a Table in the Beergarden opposite the Self-Service Counter, and at this Table we could enjoy also the beautiful Panorama. The Altitude is about 570 Meter 1,870 Feet above Sea Level. Well, here a large Wheat Beer (0.5 Liter about a Pint costs € 4.70, but for such a popular Excursion Restaurant and moreover a freshly tapped Beer this is okay still indeed. Regarding the Food for us here was nothing to complain at all. The Quality and the Portion Sizes of our Food had a very good Price-Performance Ratio. My Companion had a Pork Roast with Bread Dumpling and 'Sauerkraut ' (pickled white Cabbage for € 14.50, my 'Alm Jause ' (a cold Plate with Cheese, Ham, Sausage, Bread etc. had cost the same. After our Experience here, this is a good Inn and a very nice Excursion Destination. Hence on Google Maps a 5 Stars Rating.
A reverb style location with the look of a Vikings fest hall. They have a large selection of food that are huge. They have lots of traditional German Saarland dishes that taste good. The service was a little slow but the servers are generally good. The view of the valley from there is spectacular.
Free parking, free restrooms and an amazing view regardless of whether you are eating at the restaurant. At the outdoor Biergarten part of the restaurant, you order at the window and carry the tray to your own table. The prices seemed a bit expensive until we saw the huge portions. For example, the schnitzel comes with 2 schnitzels and a large quantity of pommes; this could easily be shared by 2 people. Of course you can also just get a beer, wine or other beverage if not planning to eat there. The view of the region below is simply stunning. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Tholey area.
