Herbs And Butter - Thodupuzha

Honest review! Today I went to Herbs and Butter. I was planning for a while to go after watching instagram reels . SO, today it happened. In a simple word, Its EXASPERATING! I am not exaggerating, I ordered spicy cajun potato with cheese and chicken nuggets as starter then beef steak and peri peri chicken sizzlers for main course and finally a watermelon and passion fruit mojito as drinks. I was with my friend. We had a bite of Starters and we were confused whether we don 't know how to cook or they dont! Because, The spicy cajun potato fries were simply boiled potato slices springled with chilly and salt and the cheese dip had a thick frozen layer over it. Probably due to the prolonged exposure with air. They Literally served the chees dip which was kept open for a long time. I was shocked that they served it to us with a smile also the potatoes were not peeled. the nuggets were just drowned in oil and the chicken was tasting different. We were scared to continue, My friend compelled me to cancel the other items and to leave. But I was feeling weird to cancel after ordering everything at once , so I insisted my friend to try the items we have ordered so that we can decide whether there is a next time. One thing I appreciate, the beef steak and peri peri chicken sizzlers were standard, Infact it was nice. Expecially the sauce in beef stake. But the bread strips were old and cold. Sizzlers doesn 't have much veggies, some spicy biriyani type rice, brocoli and mushroom, That 's it. Still the sizzlers was decent. The utter flop items were the mojitos, both passion fruit and watermelon mojitos are flop in here. The worst Mojitos ever in my life. It is just sprite or sprinkling water mixed with syrups NOT EVEN CHILLED, they will put 2 ice cubes on the top. Thats it. Watermelon tasted like that old tonic. I REALLY felt these people fooled us today. Neither the insta reels nor the reviews are genuine. Almost every reviews are 5 star so, I must definitely expect top notch setup. But it was upside down. Being a foodie, I am extremely disappointed about wasting my time in there. I Don 't have any issues with these people but, we got fooled today. We trusted the reviews. Every review are fake. Don 't trust these guys. Food is cheep quality, Nauseating experience. I never had such a bad experience from a restaurant or cafe. Even though I went to untidy places, food was decent. I cannot even say below AVG. Either they should improve the quality of chefs or close it down. Extremely devastating and mood killing food. Even though ambience is okay okay food is flop. 1/10 from my side. From my experience, I assure there is no next time with Herbs and Butter. If you like to explore tasty food varieties and a person who goes to various restaurants, I would never recommend. It will kill your mind.

As authentic taste as one can expect at such rates. And the so young owner chef gives good suggestions as per our likes and tastes. He talks of how food gets prepared.

Excellent food, honestly better than most European countries. Preparing the menu fresh makes it extra tasty. Definitely a gem . I wish the owners the best

Good food.. You can try different variety menus which are not available in other restaurants in Thodupuzha. Little bit expensive but still worth of money especially desserts. I liked the ambiance of this place. Moreover, the owners are friendly as well as helps others to choose food(Since majority of the items are new to people in this locality, they explains the way of cooking, suggest foods according to the customers taste, even they prepare customised food.

I tried a boba shake. It did not take good. The consistent was not good either. The pizza however was good. 3.5/5 The ground beef burger was okay. 3.5/5 The blueberry cheesecake was very good. The ambience and service was average. I did have higher expectations for the restaurant.
