Mankalam - Thiruvananthapuram

I'm so glad I ordered this biriyani – it tastes great!

Mankalam has ordered chicken biriyani, for lunch, from this restaurant, with the excitement of the name,biriyani in kalam, to win this order, but when we delivered it home, it was like the kizhi biriyani style, really disappointed. It was okay.

Standard has lowered from that in the beginning. I had visited this place 2 yrs ago when the food was amazing and there were lot of options. But now it seems to be gone. May be they are just gearing up after lockdown

Although I liked the kalam biriyani, I had absolutely no time to notice something came, since I felt change of taste every time not in bad way nor I prefer it to be consistent that only happened to me). Otherwise, the place is good for experience. Momos, who was fabulous once.

A neat and clean restaurant. Came with great expectations, but the food was not something special. Had mankalam biriyani and fish curry meals. The mankalam biriyani is somewhat bland with very little masala, long basmati rice, had an egg and two pieces of chicken. The meals was nothing special and the fish curry too. But worth the 1100 rupees for the meals. Luckily when we went there was not too much rush.
