Dog Gun - Thirsk

Had a really delicious celebratory meal here. The menu was extensive for a vegan, we opted for the 'build a burger ' along with the vegan desserts, all were fantastic. The staff are as fabulous as the food.

I love this place the chef herself is vegan and is trying to constantly increase the vegan range on a very conservative area. As a result the menu has lots of vegan items and also has vegan alternatives for most of the non vegan menu items. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the establishment is dog friendly. I love it

Amazing Sunday roast, drove an hour out of our way just on a whim they might serve a vegan roast (it's not on the menu). Couldn't be more accommodating, such friendly and attentive staff. Had a full 3 course vegan dinner. Couldn't be happier

Easily worth 5 stars but as they serve meat dishes too I’m only allowed to give 4. The vegan menu is superb! They offer options for starters, mains and deserts. The food is always amazing.

It was such a delightful surprise to discover a pub in North Yorkshire that excels at vegan cuisine! You can really see the thought and effort that has gone into crafting the recipes and preparing the dishes. The staff take the time to explain the vegan options and how everything is made. There are so many choices available, and the presentation of the food was stunning. The team was incredibly attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you have dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, many pubs I’ve visited in North Yorkshire seem to put minimal effort into vegan dishes, and even mentioning “vegan” can cause friction. But not here! I felt warmly welcomed and was thrilled to learn that the chef is a vegan herself! I can’t wait to return for more!
