Southwark Hotel - THEBARTON

This restaurant has gone through many changes over the years. I even remember when it briefly tried to attract more customers by having a tittie bar stage on Friday nights, but those days are long gone. Despite being an older pub, the interior photos showcase the evolving landscape of Adelaide. I found myself particularly captivated by a map of Adelaide from the early 1900s displayed on the wall. It's a decent pub, good for a quick drink after work, but maybe not the best place to linger for an extended period. They also have outdoor seating for smokers to enjoy their drinks.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Great place for and easy meal. Really worth a try. Just needs a little better outdoor ace but overall a great palce with some really good history.

Myself and group of family visited Adelaide Gaol for a tour and popped into Southwark Hotel for counter lunch. We didn't expect much but were actually delighted with service, food quality and the very reasonably prices. I can't recommend highly for great pub atmosphere and great meals.

Stopped in at this pub as it looked like a nice place to stop to have a drink and plan our next steps for the day. Ordered a drink which was over priced, had rude service from the lady behind the bar and then before leaving and asking for advice on directions or where to gain advice for directions were rudely pointed away and told "I run a pub, I don't give directions". Very disappointed with the service. Would never recommend to anyone.
