for lunch with some old colleagues, the restaurant looks a little tired, but the meals were excellent and very affordable, the personal friendly and chatty. there is a beautiful garden in the open and a huge parking lot. will use this place again. it is great for families with lots of space outside for children to walk around and play safely. I went to the restaurant a few years ago and I was not impressed, but thought it would be a switched off, bad experience so decided to go back. I ordered fish and chips, a burger and koks that came to The...Fish was chewing, very fischer and was clear from the freezer. the burger was around, which is expensive for a standard pigburger, but the patties were cached, dry and burned. full waste of money, I wouldn't be ba... Excellent service as always, our waitress nikki was splendid nothing was too much trouble, she was also fantastic with the younger members of our group very patient and polite making everyone feel at ease. We'll done nikki
We stayed in hotel for night, and had dinner on first night. Table was dirty and the rest of the restaurant was not much better. We had fillet steak, which was very nice. Breakfast, we had full and continental. Full breakfast came over coooked,...and dry. Hash browns appeared to have been deep fried, and they were like batter. Continental was fine, but they had no gluten free bread and they refused to let me have the ingredients list for crumpets. The menus were dirty and sticky. The whole place just needs someone keeping on top of the cleaning, including wiping tables properly and menus. I normally like a Beefeater breakfast, but I will be avoiding this one from now on.
Came to the Walston as a group of nine we didn’t have a booking but staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, our waitress Charlotte was friendly and welcoming the food was great and service was first class
I came here with my family and we were all disappointed with the quality of food. the personal was beautiful, but unfortunately the problem has been given when ordering drinks. my mother and I asked for soda and lime, but we hardly got tasteless water. even after stirring there was no taste. our food took longer than expected to come, and it did not all come out at the same time. my dad finished eating before two of our party were there. the smothered chicken was dry and the speck was burned. I could not normally get over it, but the lack of cheese and sosse made it worse, we asked for more bbq sose that they brought out. my friends steak was asked for medium-sized rareness, but it was not pink at all and the garnels they had were not fresh! we also waited mins for extra gravure and have to ask for the food, microwave. for the price they pay, I think they'd be happier to go to wetherspoons. we are usually not those who complain, but after other reviews we know that it is not just us to be restless. I will not come back
