The friendly st... read more One of the best hotels in Queensland! We had lovely meals both nights that we went for dinner, beer was cold and the service was second to none. The friendly staff accommodated us and our 3yo son like family genuinely great people who are masters at hospitality. We will be back next year on our annual Gemfields pilgrimage. Highly recommended place for a good feed and good cheer.

The young lady who served us was cheerful and attentive. The meals were delicious, with smaller portions available for those with a lighter appetite. We particularly enjoyed the tasty beer-battered fish, along with crispy chips and a fresh salad.

There was only one staff member working during our visit (she had awesome 80s-style hair—I'm sure you'll recognize her), and she did an amazing job. She was incredibly polite and cheerful throughout our meal, even while attending to regular customers. I can't comment on the drink selection, but the pub has a really great vibe with lots of wood accents. I've heard that either this establishment or an original pub burned down in that location, but you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it.
