Very good coal fired pizza along with excellent service from Jonte today. We really love Grimaldi's and rarely leave a location disappointed. We are so pleased to see this location open centrally located to an area where we spend so much our our time. View all feedback.
What Chip Smith doesn't like about Memorial Green:
Nice inside touting lock and leave as an asset. Very poor security. Insensitive and poor management with no mindfulness. Location behind strip center was bad idea. Value for spent, per Sq. Ft. seems low to me. The place is a paradise for a slinky. Stairs and elevator take up a great deal of room. No views, once project complete There are homes on cul-de-sac streets that can offer as much in the same area. Management... View all feedback.
Pizza is a popular food but the problem with most pizza chains is that the options are rather ordinary. You have the usual pepperoni, meat lovers, sausage and mushroom, etc. with toppings that are pretty much standardized. There is, however, a pizza chain with more variety and a taste all its own: Grimaldi’s Pizzeria, a nationwide pizza chain. Grimaldi’s Pizzeria serves some interesting pizza pie and the first thing you notice are the large variety of toppings. Besides the usual pepperoni, onions, ham, and black olives you also have choices such as pesto, fresh baby spinach, Kalamata olives, etc. You can build your own or select among the customized pizzas like the Margherita, The Garden, Quattro Formaggi, Brooklyn Bridge, and The Don. Each has its own emphasis and when I visited, I got to try a little bit of several of these pizzas. Among the pizzas I tried, I like the Don the best. It’s topped with sausage, pepperoni, and meatballs for a meaty taste with a very satisfying sauce for a well- rounded and delicious flavor. It’s also very filling and a single large pizza should go far in satisfying several people. I wasn’t too big on the Quattro Formaggi. It’s topped with several different cheeses and I found the blend of mozzarella, asiago, parmesan, pecorino romano, and gorgonzola cheeses not to my liking- I felt like I was eating a casserole, not a pizza. Then again, those who love cheese might like it very much. Personally, I liked the other pizzas better and those in my dining party seemed to agree, with the Don getting devoured quickly. Aside from the pizza, Grimaldi’s also sells calzones, salads, and desserts such as tiramisu and cheesecake. I loved the salads and for lighter appetites, they could easily suffice as a meal all by themselves. Oh, and let’s not forget the beer selections. The options are quite nice, with about 25 selections overall. They even have their own collaboration beer, Odell Brick Oven Amber, which I learned was brewed by Colorado’s Odell Brewing specially for Grimaldi’s Pizzeria. They serve about 30 different wines, too, by the glass, carafe, or bottle. Pizzas are very ordinary overall, but Grimaldi’s Pizzeria offers something different- a better tasting pizza, good salads, and a very large selection of beer and wine. The food is better than average in quality and this location in Houston’s City Centre is close to hotels and entertainment, making it a good stopover for lunch or dinner in this popular Houston destination. Check it out if you get the chance, and experience pizza at a new level.
Good pizza We had a great time at Grimaldi’s pizza. The pizza was great, and one person had the calzone. Everything was good. We had trouble trying to find a parking place, so we did valet parking. That was much better, and you get parking free when you get your ticket stamped
Second visit on June 19th. Pizza is very good I like the thinner crust, slightly crispy bottom, and clean flavors. Good sauce, and the sausage the use has a good fennel flavor. They were busy tonight, so the waitstaff were a bit disorganized. Not sure I care for the faux NYC look inside too chain like (which they are now). Sat outside on previous visit on patio much better on a nice day. They advertised 50% off wine on Tasting Tuesdays while I was there will return.

Brand new, very nice 3 story mixed use building. Clean design, not overly intrusive to the surroundings. Limited parking up front so as to not taint the view from the street. Anchor restaurants are very good. Jonathan's is moving over. Huge coup for the developer. Dish Society is solid option for every situation. Boutique shops and offices are slated to be added as well. Luxury walk ups are being added in the future, behind the main shops and offices.
