My go-to place for the past several years whenever I’m craving Chinese. I mainly get the sesame chicken and can finish maybe half of it in one sitting, portioning out the leftovers the rest of the week. Good filling food for a good price compared to a lot of other places these days. View all feedback.
What Lon Wea doesn't like about Clear Lake Hunan:
I guess it's hard to find perfection. Nothing seemed quiet right. Maybe it was an off day, or maybe I was just off. Plenty, or too much food for two. It was good enough to take home the left's and enjoy them later. Still waiting on the ordered side vegetable. View all feedback.
Very impressive first visit. Haven’t had this good quality Chinese food in a long time. It was fresh well cooked quality dishes. And the prices are very attractive. Will definitely be back.

Clear Lake Hunan is my neighborhood default for Chinese takeout for this reason; They strike the best balance of serving “American-traditional Chinese” that they’re long known for within the community — while offering more inventive Cantonese, Sichuan and Taiwanese dishes you can find in Chinatown (for ex: jalapeño chicken at Mein)The fact the lunch special (both egg roll and soup) is still around $10 in 2023 makes me very happy. And helps heals the pain when I can’t dine in Flushing, Richmond BC or Singapore.
Whenever I'm working in the area, I always pick up food for my guys. Super friendly and great food.
