Hands down one of my top Omakase experiences. Fresh and Tasty sushi. The variety of the menu and fishes were really outstanding! Madai* the Japanese Seabream was the highlight of my night. Foie Gra had the perfect sweet pairing to it. Oysters View all feedback.
What person persnal doesn't like about Aiko:
The music was too loud and we got our first plate 40 minutes after we sat down. The waitress I think her name was Victoria? Seemed inexperienced and the night out was kind of ruined View all feedback.
One of our favorite spots in Houston. The staff is friendly and helpful and their quality is consistent and delicious.
The food quality is excellent our fish was extremely fresh, but the portions are pretty small. My friends and I ordered dishes from the HRW menu and the regular menu. The menu is mostly drinks, and the dining room isn’t very large, which can lead to wait times and a very loud atmosphere (which sometimes is a preference for people! ; our party of four had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation. Service was also a bit of an issue, as we were repeatedly given the wrong plates (each course, my friends and I had to switch plates with one another not sure if they record seat numbers when taking orders and some drinks arrived after the meal. There is valet parking next to the restaurant or if the lot is full, you can park in the church behind the valet lot or on the street. The valet told us that the church is used for Aiko parking as well if you are worried about being towed. This place might be worth a visit if you're nearby!
A great sushi experience in Houston! After returning from Tokyo where we partaken in any superlative culanry experiences, we were a bit disappointed with our old sushi favorites. Mostly about the service received. We are glad to have found Aiko and have our trust restored. The food is too notch, but what truly impressed us was the service. If Michelin ever comes to Houston, I am holding big hopes for this sushi restaurant.
Aiko was a great experience! We had Trinity as our server who took excellent care of us. She made great recommendations! We enjoyed the omakase of the evening that was delicious. We also had a few cocktails/mocktails that were super yummy. Service was super great!! Only complaint was there was a few flies flying around but it was super clean inside otherwise; the music was a little cheesy/trendy but that’s personal preference!
Incredible experience eating at Aiko. The service was top notch. Everyone was passionate about quality sushi and their unique offerings. Best sushi I've ever had, and the atmosphere and service were amazing.
