Seehotel & Restaurant Lackner - Thalgau

Today we enjoyed a fantastic evening at the gourmet restaurant Lackner on the shores of Lake Mondsee. The award-winning chef Martin Lackner and his crew cooked an excellent meal with a great wine pairing. Last holiday day in the Salzkammergut and the finish was a combination of Austrian hospitality and gourmet cuisine. Thank you for this and also a fantastic view of the Dragon Lake and Lake Mondsee. Whenever you are in the neighborhood and you love eating visit Martin Lackner restaurant or even stay at the hotel.

After a few nights of eating perfectly ok heavy Austrian meat and dumplings eating in various local restaurants we were looking for a somewhat higher standard international cuisine. Searched Restaurant Lackner online and it seemed to fit the bill. We arrived at a nice quiet and hot evening and the outdoor tables were wonderful. They overlook the garden that runs to the lake. The hills in the background changed through a series of oranges and blues set as the sun.... a perfect environment. The food was not disappointed. A small menu of 9 dishes is usually a sign of a cook that is careful in his kitchen. The mere geese living dish melted in your mouth. The main course was a calf dish placed on a bed risotto, which was very creamy and well prepared. There is a very extensive wine list. Many are well aged wines (also from the New World) and are so expensive. Fortunately, however, there is a reasonable selection of modest wines to choose. Very satisfying meal.

The moment we entered the restaurant we felt a very serene and fine atmosphere. The very friendly staff attended to us immediately and guided us to the well set table. The menu is well designed and the variety of the offered is food is very enticing. The food was of very high quality and cooked to perfection, accompanied by an extensive and elegant wine selection. we will definitely come back again.

Exceptional service and environment, the hotel was immaculate and the service was very friendly and friendly. Breakfast was very nice with a large selection. The dinner was 5 stars without question of a doubt 4 course meal and every evening the cook did not take to surprise us with its fine dinning. This stay is highly recommended with scenic landscape and 5 star service in every aspect. We will definitely visit again.

Sehr gute Küche, ist seine GaultMillau Punkte auf jeden Fall wert, wir hatten das 4 Gang Menü für 55 EUR, alle Gänge top, das Lamm war genial. Man sitzt mit tollem Blick über den See auf der Terrasse, der Service ist gut. Tolle Weine! Ein rundum gelungener Abend wie schon vor 4 Jahren, als wir dort zum ersten Mal gegessen haben!
