Walk On's Sports Bistreaux Gonzales

So I?m not from around here, so I was extremely surprised to see how INCREDIBLE this establishment was! Let?s start with the actual space, very clean and big. I?m not sure what year this was open, but it looks like it?s very new, so obviously well kept! The bar was huge and I?m a city girl from Dallas, so you know I like huge. The options are very impressive. If your looking for a turn up or a casual drink at whatever time your 5 o?clock is, go to this place! There is entertainment weather you have kids or want to be a kid, check out my photos for some of the things you can do, your welcome ???? I ordered the salmon on the menu, I wanted something light but still filling. It was phenomenal and came highly recommended by our waitress, so shout out to her. The portion size was very large, as much as I can eat, I needed a take home box. There is a patio but with the weather, it wasn?t permitted and wouldn?t be enjoyable in the rain and cold. If you are passing through like me or in town and haven?t been or have but have not been back, I highly recommending taking a trip here. You?re welcome ??????

For not really caring for New Orleans type of spicy stuff I found this place to a good balance of flavor with the spice. The boudin balls were good but could have use more flavor. Will rave about the VooDoo Shrimp and Grits. Mild heat and a generous portion of grits. Very delicious. Would visit again.

What a great place with awesome food. Atmosphere was a sports bar with casual dining. The exposed brick is always warm. Multiple TVs on every wall so you don't miss the game, any game. For starters, me and the wife had the alligator. Fresh and tender with a great taste. For my main, I had the duck andouille gumbo. Best decision of the day. Great taste, big portion. Staff was on point, friendly, and really helpful.

I wanted to do something different so my daughter recommended that we go to Walk-Ons. We went during lunch hours the vibe was good the people were nice and friendly. So I ordered the crawfish ettoufe and came to the table I was so excited my first time trying it and I was so disappointed it was cold. So I sent it back and when I got it back the second time it was worse as the first. So now I'm irritated so I ordered the shrimp and fries combo. When I say I was so disappointed and irritated with Walk-Ons my waffle fries were cold and hard the shrimp was overcooked the breading was not right. The only thing was good was the coke and the cheese logs. Yeah I will not be going to Walk-Ons anymore it was just disappointing ????????????

The Voodoo Shrimp and Lemon Pepper Chicken are highly recommended. They have great outdoor and open air indoor seating with many TVs. We were checked on frequently by different staff members. Everything was great.
