We stopped here during our trip, and I have to say that finding the restaurant was a bit challenging since the entrance doesn’t face the street. I ordered the ahi tuna, which was served with asparagus and jalapeño cheese grits. The tuna had a fantastic soy ginger sauce, and the asparagus was quite enjoyable. However, I found the grits to be just average; I could barely taste the peppers, and they were thicker than I prefer. My husband had the redfish along with a side salad and the same grits. He thought the fish and salad were decent, but he also found the grits underwhelming. On a positive note, the wine portion was generous, especially for the affordable price. Our server, Heather, was polite and very accommodating.
The restaurant was vibrant and lively due to a birthday celebration, and we were lucky to find a table. The live music from the Moss Brothers enhanced the ambiance. Our server was fantastic and very attentive. The calamari was superb, served in a creamy sauce, but the red sauce had a fermented taste that didn’t quite pair well with it. The pizza was perfectly crispy! The beef short rib was beautifully charred and incredibly tender. Unfortunately, both the mushroom risotto and the tomatoes had a similar fermented flavor as the calamari's red sauce. The tomatoes were slightly overcooked, but they complemented the risotto nicely. I would definitely like to come back on a quieter day to explore more of the menu.
The Baja tacos were amazing, and the grilled okra was exceptional! The staff was attentive and friendly. The prices were reasonable while still providing a higher-end dining experience. I truly appreciate that combination!
Excellent food an great service! I had the Braised Short Rib and the wife had the Cajun Pasta
