The Heater serves the best burger in the city. The fish is outstanding as well. They give you such a generous portion of nachos that it's hard to finish them. The onion rings are fantastic, and the service at this family-run restaurant is truly exceptional. View all feedback.
What Diann Lynn King doesn't like about The Dugout:
I enjoy the dugout. My family and I eat here often. My favorite is the loaded frito pie. They do not out enough chili to accommodate the fritos. If you ask for ectra chili you are charged way more than you should be. I was told they were only allowed to put so much chili on your order. Cut back on the fritos do something besides charging extra for the right amount of chili. View all feedback.
This restaurant is always a great choice. The food is consistently fresh and made to order. I tried the chicken wrap and a shrimp dish, and both were delicious. I usually order the heater and sweet potato puffs as well. They serve the best burgers in Texarkana and beyond!
The best fish in town! The owner, David, stopped by our table to see how we were doing. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is fantastic. You can also catch your favorite game here. I highly recommend the Dugout!
We were greeted by our server, Alli, who was busy wiping down our table. When we mentioned that it was our first time visiting, she kindly invited us to sit in her section! How thoughtful! She took us through some menu items, took our drink orders, and returned shortly with our beverages. We enjoyed the chicken wrap and the fritz pie, and we shared a delicious milkshake. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of options available in a baseball-themed setting. Plus, it was easy to get off and back on the highway.
Service can be a little slow, but honestly I feel that may be just because it's busier or seems to be when I go. Really great burgers and friendly staff. The build you own section is good careful not to go too crazy though, some burger will fall apart on you. Love the decor and feel of the place. Good stop for good burgers.
Called in for late lunch. The phone representative was extremely friendly and repeated everything back to me. I had a few questions regarding their menu and she was able to assist me with all my decision-making. We opted for a Little Home Run, cheeseburger with only mustard extra pickles and lettuce. We also ordered a chicken tender basket, a half-order of fried green tomatoes, and fried pickles. No complaints from the crew.
