Ordered the chilli... read more Nice place, great location opposite the castle hence the name! Big menu so lots to choose from, we decided to try one of the jacket potatoes. Ordered the chilli and cheese jacket for €11.50. Once the food arrived the first shock was that it was served in one of those pretentious salad bowls with more rim than space for the food. Not really the right match for a jacket spud. The jacket was microwaved and the skin was not crispy which was the second disappointment. On closer inspection which took only a nano second, there seemed to be hardly any filling it was just all potato. I immediately took the bowl in to show the staff to question the amount of filling which was not present. Luckily for me so I thought, I spoke to the cook. A Scotish lady, I didn’t get her name but she proceeded to tell me it was full of filling. “A portion of chilli and a big handful of cheese” I just cooked it she said. Then she tried to find said filling by poking about in the potato with a fork! I said I could not see it but she insisted, and also seemed to be put out by the fact I had questioned this. I then took the plate back to the table as she didn’t offer a solution. The disappointments just kept coming. Then tried to eat the food. This was also very disappointing as what was there had NO flavour, it was very bland and tasteless. Even tried to add extra sauce and seasoning to it but to no avail! This was not edible, so didn’t eat it and sent it back. Over all the food we received was very disappointing. Asked for the bill and the potato was still on the bill!! Really? Thankfully the helpful and very nice lady who served the bill to us did adjust the bill and took off the food. Left very hungry and more disappointed
