What Foodlover5700 doesn't like about White Horse Romsey Afternoon Tea:
Really disappointing meal. Food was poor quality and not what we have had here previously. We used to love this venue but it’s really gone down hill. Order was wrong but they realised but one dish for a course came out 20 minutes before the other finally arrived! Steak over cooked and potatoes cold. Not Recommended anymore sorry! Came In for my best friend and mums birthdays which we had stated in our booking, we arrived 10 mins early and were shown to our table. It then took 40 minutes for us to get a tea and coffee and 50 minutes to be served our afternoon tea. There was no one around to ask for further drinks or water etc, all the staff were completely out of sight and when we were served our food and drink they seemed in a rush to get us... read moreThe White Horse restaurant offers a varied dining experience that has garnered mixed reviews. While some guests relish the elegant afternoon tea with freshly prepared treats and attentive staff, others have faced setbacks with service and menu changes. Complaints include cold meals and unaccommodating management, marred by inconsistency in service quality. However, many patrons praise the welcoming atmosphere and delicious food, especially during festive celebrations. The restaurant’s attention to detail shines through in its presentation and service, making it a popular choice for both casual and special occasions. Overall, The White Horse is worth a visit, yet expectations should be managed.
