What PTB5710 doesn't like about The Mayfly Riverside Pub:
We were sat right by the kitchen so we could see everything pretty much that was going on. We went there for a couple of drinks thinking that we would possibly eat. But after seeing the way the kitchen staff were around food we decided otherwise. A cook scratching his face constantly and then putting his hands in a frozen bag of chips put us off. An incentive of the moment after shopping in stockbridge to mayfly. we've never been before, but had already passed several times. the weather was terrible, but inside was warm and welcoming. we were greeted by a very friendly bartender who was engaged and chatting. he convinced me to try a glass frontier by giving me first a little tastener. it was delicious so I had a pint. we sat on the window seat (table 1) and took in the beautiful landscape and animal world while we enjoy our drinks. we ordered a cheeseboard to share as snack and we were not disappointed. wide variety and taste depth. the prices are really reasonable and the atmosphere was beautiful. they showed the 6 nations that was an additional bonus. definitely recommend this accommodation for families or couples. I would imagine it absolutely stunning in summer, but don't wait until then to enjoy this little jewel

Best pub in Hampshire. Reassuringly expensive. Don't ask for chips. Stunning views. Gets busy summer evenings though so parking can be tricky.
