However, recent visits have revealed inconsistencies, particularly in vegan options—with only limited selections available. While some patrons appreciate the accommodating staff who can modify dishes to meet vegan needs, the restaurant's lack of clear vegan labeling is a drawback. Nevertheless, many rave about the delicious food and inviting atmosphere of the pub and courtyard garden. Overall, the Fox and Greyhound remains a cherished spot, though improvements in its vegan offerings could elevate the dining experience.
Saturday lunch- empty. Used to be one of my favourite restaurants in Hampshire. Not so sure anymore? Only 1 vegan option. Dared not ask for vegan wine. Candles on the table at lunchtime? Unlit?
Went there 2 weeks ago for lunch. There was 1 out of 3) vegan option on the specials board and the same for the main. The waitress pointed out all the vegan options on the menu and those that could be easily made vegan as all the food is freshly prepared. And the food was delicious Would have liked to give it 5 stars. Will definitely go again!!!!
We love this place and eat here all the time. We’re vegan and they highlighted many dishes on the menu that were vegan or they could easily make vegan. The yellow curry is my favourite! With added tofu. Stir fry is good and also the Singapore noodles and vegan “duck” spring rolls Really lovely at atmosphere, beautiful country pub, reasonable prices and just a lovely place to spend the evening inside the bar, restaurant or courtyard garden. Food is all freshly prepared- none of it is frozen/microwaved. Cannot recommend highly enough. The menu doesn’t specifically highlight vegan dishes (although I think one dish actually is highlighted) but if you ask the friendly staff they will show you which dishes are SFV. Fantastic place! App won’t let me give five stars because it’s not a dedicated vegan or vegetarian restaurant (not sure how that makes sense). But I’d give five stars if I could.
Man. it was our first visit in her beautiful place tonight. we had their first buffet, and we both agreed that it was great. the bark sacks touch the sole of the show with their heat and (thailand on the teller) the early roll were crunchy and fresh for the hour we were there. many thanks and we will be defo back. ps. her design singha was lush, not had draft singha since november when we were in Thailand. well done people and we will be back. for anyone who reads this, I would highly recommend it.
My first visit and very happy. beautiful personal and great authentic Thai food cooked by Thai cooks. will definitely return!
