However, the last few times we have visited, the food hasn’t been a... read more We go fairly regularly and, up until recently, it has been one of my favourite country pubs. However, the last few times we have visited, the food hasn’t been as good. I’ve given up on the duck spring rolls as they often have fat in them and the veg doesn’t always taste as fresh as it should. At £20 for a lot of the mains, it’s very overpriced for what it is. The standard has definitely dropped and I question how often we will frequent. Such a shame as I used to love it here.

I need to ge honest... 10/10 for the superb starters... Dim Sum and Pork Spring Rolls were excellent... I ordered the 'Weeping Tiger ' for the main course having enjoyed it in the past, BUT this version was bland in comparison ... where are the chillies, and pour on sauce? They made the difference and, without these ingredients, the Weeping Tiger is now a shadow of its former self! Sorry !!!

We had sizzling ste... read more Lunch today in celebration of one of my friends birthday at the Fox Inn , Tangley Andover : it was the most dis appointed food we ever had . We had sizzling steak which was tough and salty , sizling lamb was tender but very salty , sizzling prawns was overcooked and again it was very salty. The Singaporean noodles was soggy , and salty . It should be dry and not too much curry. We complained to the chef but he was an obnoxious character , he was rude and wont accept criticism. We are three Asians of descents and we know how to enjoy proper Asian cuisines especially the Thai cuisine. The attitude of the chef to us was unacceptable . I must say the lady owner of the pub was very kind , apologetic and very pleasant to us and offset one of the food ordered from our bills which was very kind of her . Overall experienced: I rate the service is top notch, 5 Stars , the food was edible but un enjoyable,1star . We wont recommend to friends and we wont go back there again

I’ve known and enjoyed the Fox Inn at Tangley for years and will be very pleased to return and try something new from their exquisite menu. Not many restaurants can boast excellence in everything they offer on their menu, but the Fox Inn definitely can. Everything they serve is wonderful and I have always loved the infusion of Thai dining with a traditional pub front of house feel. It’s deserving of far more than 5 stars. Cherry on top, the owner and his wife are simply lovely people. Very warm, welcoming, good humoured and a pleasure to be around. See you again, very soon!

The Thai food menu is... read more We shared a long overdue family reunion dinner at this delightful old pub. The staff were very attentive and catered for all our requests. The Thai food menu is extensive and a welcome change to the normal English pub stodge we have encountered to date. We shared a number of entrees then main dishes between our party of 8, and then squeezed in dessert. Highly recommend The Fox Inn Tangley as a must visit for lunch or dinner.
