Although the s... read more The lighting is a bit dark depending on the seating area. There is classic Bosnian rock constantly blaring no matter what floor you’re seated on. Although the service is above and beyond and the food is quite tasty. Beyond satisfied with my experience at Haustor Restaurant.

I came for the first time this summer 18.06.2024 and h... read more With a tough heart Im writing this review as this place was one of my favorite in my home city of Tesanj! I came for the first time this summer 18.06.2024 and had brought a group of tourist to visit our beautiful city of Tesanj. In this regard I wanted to drop by Haustor as it’s a beautiful place. When I came with all the foreigners we managed to find a table that was dirty, but we had no problem as we knew it would be cleaned as soon as the waiters got the opportunity. When the waiter came (man in his 30’s, black hair, black beard) I asked politely if he could clean the table for us before ordering. This was the moment the waiter attacked us verbally and started insulting both me and the tourists I brought to the restaurant. The waiter insisted that “no one should be able to tell me what to do, and how to do things”. He continued on insulting me in Bosnian and telling me varied amount of rude things because I asked “can you please clean the table for us before ordering, thanks”. The restaurant was full and all people around noticed this spontanious and aggressive behavior from this male waiter. First time in my life I have ever, ever experienced this service in Bosnia. This has made me never wanting to go back, and I will never again visit or bring tourists here. This was a humiliating experience for me as I wanted to show a nice Bosnian place for the tourist I brought, but the experience ended up being everything else. I didn’t even get to order before I politely said that this experience does not reflect Bosnian hospitality and had to take the tourist group to another place in town.

The outer area is also in the shadow of the castle, so a nice view if you like that kind of thing. The staff were more efficient than friendly and seemed to be I a rush when I was served but otherwise not bad at all. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other
