What Edward Donnelly doesn't like about Restaurant Italien Trattoria La Volta:
will never go back there .. food was horrible .the average age of the client was about 65 , and I think they get taken and do not get what they ordered .. 3 scallops on top of linguine with a dry pesto26$ , my wife ordered a pizza with prosciutto and a red pepper pesto with boconchini and was served a herb pesto , no boconchinni and a dried up prosciutto when she told the server about it he replied that they did it t... Went there on a Friday evening late July on a very warm and beautiful day.
Since this restaurant is less than 5 minutes away from my house I've tried it many times. I really wanted to love it but never manages to order anything good for dinner. Breakfast buffets were amazing...especially at 10 $ per person. But they don't offer this anymore...and the name changed to Zoom but apparently not the owners so they probably won't be seeing us again unless they bring back the great affordable brunches with omelette and crepe stations!
Nice ambiance and the staff are nice. But the food didn't taste that good. Specially for the price. I don't think I'll go back again
Since the arrival of the new proprios all the servers have gone. Why changed a winning formula. We were going there almost every week because of the warm atmosphere and service. Now they've lost that hiding place. We stopped going.
Our meals were good but the service was long! Although it is a bring your wine, we almost waited 1 hour before having our meal.
