Food was ok but not worth... read more Waiters were extremely unfriendly and not welcoming. We did not receive any water or bread at our table, despite asking for it twice. Food was ok but not worth the price. Our bill was wrong, two additional glasses of wine were added which we also didn´t receive. Beautiful location however, but there are much better restaurants to go to enjoy these views.

I think it took us about 20 minutes. The road is tiny, drive slower and be careful with the cars going in the opposite direction. If you wish, you can take a boat from Piediluco to here and back. The parking space by the restaurant is decent. We saw that they have proper tables for lunch and asked for one, but they were all booked (we arrived at 1:30 PM). We chose the local beer and took some chips and went on the side where you can sit simply at the plastic table or in the more relaxing seat by the lake. It was all in the shadow so it was nice to sip on the refreshing beer, cool down and admire the view. We have really enjoyed it. We interacted with three staff members when purchasing our drinks and all were nice and helpful. I really fell in love with the local beer called San Pancrazio (we tried 3 different kinds from this brand), so if you like nice artisan beer, try it too. I think technically speaking it’s made in Lazio, but right in the border so it’s still a local brew.

Food is nice and casual, i would say average. The location is brilliant on the lake side across from a local village. My tagliata was a nice piece of meat covered with a slurry of so called truffle sauce. My wife's risotto del lago was an enormous quantity of fishy rice and not appetising. The price per head would be justifiable if the food were good but it's not. So if you want the best view across the lake at night, do come. Just don't expect to be well fed.
