Dog friendly cafe style restaurant offering a great breakfast menu in Tenerife. Enjoyed veggie bowl of haloumi, poached eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes and avocado on nut infused spinach salad. Pablo say happily on the sidewalk in the sun View all feedback.
This little cafe is on the corner of the beautiful main road of the suburb. Has an access ramp to accomodate for people in wheelchairs and also prams (I do not have kids but thought it was a nice to see them accomodating). The setting is quite homely, with the entrance surrounded by trees and the decor making you feel at home. You have the option to sit outside or inside (I would suggest ensuring you plan ahead, cause as the title states, it is a small cafe and can get quite busy and there is limited seating). The menu is quite small as well, however that is a bonus for some people to not have a million options (eg - cafe63). The pricing is reasonable (9$ for eggs on toast) and (18$ for chorizo and bean breakfast) as two examples. They do have a range of extras however is quite costly at 4.50$ each. Vegetarian options are also very limited. Coffee was your average coffee - nothing exciting about it. However they do have quite a nice range of juices and milkshakes that were quite amazing. Standard pricing as well. The wait staff were pleasant enough and I would state if you're the type of person that wants to be left alone with your meal rather then asked how everything is going, then this is the place. Overall, it's a cute little cafe, nothing to write home about, but it has its own little charm and affection that draws you in.

Called in for brunch, very impressed by our food and drinks. I tried the iced tea special which was refreshing, and my dish of pea fritters could not be faulted. Also recommend the chorizo and corn dish. The place was quiet which is a shame, would love to see it succeed. Would definitely visit again.
Great relaxing spot with some mellow Dylan playing in the background. Breakfast was good and coffee not bad. No table service which is a a bit of a downer for me but maybe that keeps the cost down. I would come back no problem. Friendly staff.
I was intrigued by the premise of this cafe: its all about Earnest Hemingway, the C20th American literary "giant" (depending on your perspective -- most readers know as much about his personal life as his work. Let's just say he was a man's man). Anyway, fascinating to see the premise carried through: his "old man and the sea" tract reflected in fishing nets and sea paraphernalia, books and other mementos that reference his oeuvre. Not many cafes do this kind of theming anymore. But if it's a playful way to set the cafe up, it's let down by the indifferent attitude of the staff. The barista and waiter today were just going through the motions; no personal engagement, served with a hint of better-things-to-do.BUT the food was good. They have a small but well-rendered breakfast menu featuring the usual: eggs benny, avo on toast, scrambled, poached etc, plus some specialities such as the zucchini fritters and slow cooked minced beef. They serve fresh juices, but the coffee, with a lovely dense crema, had an acidic, dusty after-taste.Hemingway's is reasonably priced and the preparation and quality of the food seems to be of a high standard (if my breakfast is anything to go by). If on my visit I had been offered hospitality as well, it would have been a winner.
