This place is a revelation. You can tell the reception is a Phoenix of The Hanover fire, but the greeting was very pleasant and the staff very friendly. Indeed, wanting to go to the cinema after, the lady chef took our food order before we came, and it was served promptly, even though we arrived early. The waiter was friendly and prompt. I'm on sleeping world. the chef came up to see me and assured that I had a slim world friendly meal, new pots, veg, bark, n separate gravy. the meal was nice, bark was amazing, veg was soft. the food could not owe! compliments to the cook and the team to help will return. x View all feedback.
Good food and a great set-up in an old building. Only issue was we were the only ones in the restaurant. Its not their fault, but would like me people to go. Would definitely go back for the food.
Stumbled upon this little pub when visiting the town. Very welcoming. We had a drink in the bar and booked a table for our evening meal. Very historic old building with plenty of stories attached to it. Food was all homemade and delicious. We had the chicken with chips and salad and Fish Pie. Will go again for sure. Would recommend.
Super nice landlady, totally child-friendly. He thought along and offered to make a larger portion of chicken nuggets and chips and share it with the children. The food was also really tasty and it was great to sit upstairs. We felt very comfortable.
Surprising pub in a building that is almost 400 years old. Good atmosphere. Eating is upstairs via a staircase. Walls are authentic clay and wood.
Whitenesed a staff member (young girl with blonde hair) calling a customer names infront of me and another table of school teachers, very rude and very unprofessional will never go here again absolutely appalling.
