Contribute FeedbackThe Wooden Fender offers a warm ambiance and tasty dishes, but is marred by loud children's parties. The Court House serves delicious meals, with excellent communication for large bookings but issues with haste and rudeness from management. The environment is friendly and portions are generous, making it a definite recommendation. The Pier in Harwich is praised for its availability of classic dishes all year round. Overall, The Court House and The Pier in Harwich offer good meals in pleasant settings, while The Wooden Fender struggles with noise and limited menu options.
We can't thank the staff enough for making our special day perfect. There was 12 of us and everyone said how much they enjoyed their food. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely fantastic lunch today at The Courthouse. The fish pie was 12/10 so tasty. Great variety of fish, very tasty sauce and lovely mash. I did have to order a side of chips to make sure all the sauce was eaten! Everyone really enjoyed their lunches too Pork Tomahawk, Chicken Escalope, Seabass and a Steak. Desserts were gorgeous too but I was too full (all the chips shame! . Great front of house team who are friendly and so welcoming. Thank you!
Myself family went to The court house for my birthday meal. The food was outstanding, staff very friendly welcoming. They even sang happy birthday to me (blush) I will definitely be going back soon to try the Sunday roast. Also have recommended to other family members friends.
Love this place, the food is amazing and it’s such a friendly environment and great staff and service, cosy pub with great choices on the menu!
This is one of our favourite restaurants with the wooden fender. The two of us went on Thursday evening at 6.30,we had a drink outside before going to our table. When we went in there were two large groups for birthdays one in one room the other in room. It was like a bad day in a school dining hall, the kids kept screaming and shouting and although the parents kept telling them to be quiet it had little effect, they were so loud it was difficult to have any conversation. If they have bookings of two large parties why didn’t they put them in the same room? As soon as we finished the meal we went and sat outside. We have grandchildren and are used to children making a noise but these kids were on a different level, completely ruined the evening
