Tpr Pizzeria - Tenafly
Tpr Pizzeria
Description
At TPR, experiences can vary widely, reflecting a mix of nostalgia and disappointment. Long-time patrons lament changes under new management, particularly the revised menu and diminished food quality, noting poor execution in beloved dishes like veal parmesan. Service issues have also surfaced, with some diners facing excessive delays while others received preferential treatment. Conversely, many commend the generous portion sizes and attentive service, praising the flavorful lunch specials and overall inviting atmosphere. While elements like pizza and calzones exhibit promise, inconsistencies in execution, seasoning, and pricing have led to divided opinions. Ultimately, TPR remains a place for ongoing exploration and discovery.

Mediocre food and service. We had the TPR salad which wasn't tasty, and the meat sauce pasta which was barely edible. No one asked us how the food was although we ate half of the portion and didn't ask to pack it home.
My friend, who lives in Tenafly, told me about TPR. Went for the first time this afternoon for lunch. The luncheon portions are substantial. I ordered capellini with spinach. When I received my order it far exceeded my expectations. The dish was thethinnest spaghetti cooked to perfection (al dente), spinach, roasted red peppers and garlic. It was the balance of flavors thatwas impressive. The garlic was noticeable but not overwhelming. Go and enjoy well prepared Italian food at reasonable prices. I certainly look forward to going back.
Met the work family here for a retirement party. The meal started w still warm Italian bread butter. Appetizers were salad pizza, both served family style. That was followed by a bowl of delicious penne vodka. For my entree, I ordered eggplant parm, but honestly couldn't even eat it because I was already full. I am very much looking forward to having that for dinner tomorrow.
The food here is amazing! It’s like eating at grandmas on Sunday. Everything is fresh nice size portions. You can’t go wrong here.
