I'm disappointed that they will be closed when I return to the area, as I was looking forward to acquiring a bottle or two. I've heard wonderful things about the 10-year-old rye and would really like to sample it. —March 27

We learned a great deal about the history and techniques of whiskey production. Watching the bottling process while touring the facility was absolutely fascinating. Overall, it was a delightful and educational outing for our family!

I've been a fan of their classic 4-year Rye for a w... read more I recently had the chance to visit Templeton Distillery in Carroll, IA, and I really wish I had gone sooner. I've been a fan of their classic 4-year Rye for a while now, and their 6-year Rye is quite impressive too. However, the standout for me was their 10-year Straight Corn Whiskey. With an 86 proof and a limited release of only 6,000 bottles sold exclusively at the distillery, this corn whiskey is exceptional! Although I didn't have enough time for the full tour, I managed to enjoy a tasting. I'm already looking forward to going back for the complete tour and more tastings!

However, I was disappointed to find out on the label that it is distilled in Indiana instead of Templeton, Iowa.
