Was Belfastguy at Treffner's a mag?
I was here for a lunch buffet as part of a work event. The food was decent and nicely cooked. There was a good selection of desserts and staff were friendly and professional. The layout of the restaurant itself is nice and comfortable too. Also nice to have the outdoor seating for when the weather is good. View all feedback.

With the remodeling of the hotel, Treffner’s has become ‘The Dormy’ Restaurant. It is a nice space with golf course views. The menu is small, but has meat, fish and vegetarian options. Lovely cocktails and small, but adequate wine list. Great, energetic, young staff. They are special and deserve every thanks. I had a great evening and staff had a special birthday dessert. Really nice and totally unexpected. Many thanks to everyone.

Treffner’s os the signature restaurant of the Hilton Hotel at Templepatrick on the outskirts of Belfast. It has lovely views of the nearby golf course. The Covid Crisis has hit restaurants hard and they have had to adapt menus and tables to suit the ‘new normal’ and social distancing. Treffner’s has adapted nicely. There is a reduced, but ample menu, lovely cocktails and a fine wine list. The desserts and after dinner coffees are all worth a try. In short this is a good, family-friendly place to dine. It is made even better by the excellent young, eager and enthusiastic staff. Enjoy.

As hotels restaurants go, Treffners is a lovely intimate space. The COVID crisis has limited the menu somewhat, but the food covers all the necessary likes with fish, meat and vegetable options. The wine list and the cocktails are more than adequate and once again, I commend a generous, friendly and helpful staff. Tables by the window have putting course views and indeed all the tables face the giant panoramic windows. Whether you eat in the restaurant or at the comfy lounge bar, you will have an enjoyable evening. By the way, the restaurant serves a bountiful breakfast buffet, too. Great spot.

Had a set menu booked along side a dinner/bed/breakfast deal. Due to this I wasn’t sure what to expect but the food far exceeded my expectations. The chicken liver parfait was absolutely delicious and the nicest I’ve had. My sea bass was also beautiful. The raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was excellent as well and I am not a dessert person! Accompanied by one of the best strawberry daiquiris ever, it was a great experience. All of the staff were highly attentive and extremely polite and friendly. Felt really well looked after by everyone we spoke to and a huge thank you to all of the lovely staff.

It's been a few years since I've eaten here, despite it being within walking distance so it was a good to go back after some time. The restaurant was fairly busy on Saturday night so the atmosphere was quite lively (the bright overhead lights didn't really add anything to the ambience unfortunately, it felt like sitting under a pair of spotlights). Lack of table cloths gave a slightly down market feel but the food was fine not massive portions but adequate and nicely presented. £100 for a couple including a bottle of wine puts it in the mid range category. The staff were mainly efficient despite their obvious youth, a bit of a wait for dessert order to be taken. Overall, a decent experience. There's a campaign in the hotel where they're trying to get 10 out of 10, an ambitious target I'd give it 8 out of 10 based on our recent experience.
