It’s the first time I ordered a set meal. I like it very much. It tastes good and the quantity is substantial. Our family doesn’t like frying, frying or frying. The staple food in this store is mainly steamed. I like it very much and I am very satisfied. I will continue to patronize and recommend it to everyone. Don't get fooled by the English name of the restaurant, it mainly sells Chinese-style steamed rice in a clay pot, not noodles. I would say the food tasted pretty good and their homemade sweet soy sauce for the rice is awesome. But the wait time for the food is kinda long, approx. 20 mins. I would suggest reading the menu online and placing your order ahead of time to avoid the wait. The seating area of the restaurant looked clean and tidy but they have a C for health inspection, so your call.
After reading reviewers from Albert and other Yelpers, I found it intriguing to trying out this restaurant in our neighborhood. It’s tanked in a small plaza next to Clover Leaf coffee on Las Tunas. The restaurant has only 4 small tables. The menu is very limited. I was expecting to see a lot of noodle dishes. Unfortunately, the restaurant had changed ownership and now the menu only offers 3 set meals and a dozen varieties of toppings with steamed rice. I was a bit turned off by the high prices on the menu. For a small rice bowl very shallow) with few slices of chinese sausage, they charged me $13 and a big bowl with a bit more rice $16. The food were not bad but they took a long time to get them out to our table. there was only one other table dined there during our visit. The service was not too good. The ladies there kept yelling and it wasn’t a good vibe for dining. probably won’t go back.
This was the best steam rice place that served good tasting steam rice. I am not a big fan of clay pot rice. I ordered the salt egg yolk with pork patty rice. It came with a dish of complimentary vegetables. We also ordered the dry scallop steam egg, which was good too. The restaurant offered excellent service, and I will go again.
I like the salted fish pork patty and rice. I got a soup that tasted like coconut and chicken. I forgot the name exactly. That was just OK. I like this place! I just didn't like smelling cigarette smoke at certain times when I was sitting in a note.
