Cafe Havana - Temple

Nice little sandwich shop you probably never heard of. Everything made fresh daily and you can taste it in their finished product. I had the 'media noche ' and a beef empanada. Fresh bread succulent pork and the sauce on the side with its garlicky punch and great flavor was a nice a welcomed change to my normal lunch. Empanada was a bit pricy but it was good. Really nice crust and cooked in a fresh vat of oil. Something you can really taste in fried foods. I can 't wait to come back and try another one of the sandwiches on their menu.

Neat and clean restaurant with friendly staff. Went in after lunch crowd and I was able to speak to the chef. Food was very fresh and flavorful. Cuban food adapted to local taste, who else would do that? I will Definitely come back, prices were good and portions large like Texas. I wish them success.

Unassuming Cuban sandwich shop. But boy is it good.. For over a year I have driven past this little unassuming restaurant on the way to the gym. Today I stopped in for lunch. The first thing I noticed is that it is immaculately clean and looks as though it just opened it has that just painted look to it even though it has been open for almost a year and a half.<br/ <br/ Cafe Havana is a lunch spot so don't expect anything other than sandwiches, empanadas and such; but they do those well.<br/ <br/ I ordered the Media Noche: pork, ham, Swiss and a pickle. This is what most folks think of as a Cuban sandwich. It was excellent.<br/ <br/ I will definitely return and work through some of the other offerings.

Absolutely the best sandwich I've ever had! I'm new to Cuban food but I'm hooked now, the food was amazing, the chef was friendly and very informative, and the restaurant was very clean and inviting. Definitely will be a stop anytime I'm in Temple.

Great local eatery! Sarge is a great host and his food is delicious! Stop by if you are in Temple. You will not be disappointed.
