It's so beautiful here! The food is tasty and fills. You even have a small coffee bar! When we received tbe checks, they were served on small paperback novels. Despite his name, The Normal Diner provides an exceptional experience. View all feedback.

Disappoint. comfortable location to gammage we loved. during the review in we were told that their system was not working with opentable and was very busy, we had to wait. it wasn't long to wait. we ordered an salat and two burger rolls less. it took almost 35 minutes to come for the salat. we had to ask for additional dressing, not sure that was actually on the salat and that took time. when ordering the burger rolls less we ask that they come as served just keep the bungalow. when they brought out the burger, he was alone on the teller. no salate, puree, tomato, swirling or sauce with which it usually comes. burger was dry and cold at this place. it was also thin and not made in the house. it came with a small field of greensalat on the side in a small bowl, which was indispensable. our server was sweet and beautiful, but the kitchen would never have served the food for this wise and the server should have realized that it was not properly prepared. it could have been that our order was not a cookie cutter and did not use it on a special request. but only the uphill of the bungalow should not have been too difficult. others who came to our table looked better. that doesn't mean there's something we'd try again.
In the bar area before a Broadway show at asu gammage. we sat first in the actual dining room, but did not know that it was a fixed price menu with only 3 options. they moved us happily into the pool bar/restaurant. service was prompt, friendly waiter and eating came fast delicious. would come back. also really convenient to auditorium.

We have made this reservation before a show in the gammage theatre. when we arrived, a guy over his shoulder said he'd take care of us in a few minutes. after 15 minutes, we sat on a free table. Finally, the waitress told us that they were quite busy, but took a drink order and facilitated their work, we ordered dinner at the same time. the drinks came after about 20 minutes, but the food never arrived. we're gone after 1.25. the waitress was very apologetic and composed our drinks (which was beautiful) but we went to show hungry. I am not sure this was a problem at night or more of a normal ding. we will not go back.
Website showed a different location 100 yards away. This restaurant is now located in a hotel. We walked in and it was seat yourself, even though we had made reservations with Open Table! The kitchen was backed up and slow, so they comped us chips and salsa. My meal came out and then my wife's came out 10 minutes later.
Located in Downtown Tempe, The Normal Diner offers an inviting atmosphere featuring vibrant decor and al fresco dining. While many have appreciated the friendly service and delicious food, experiences vary. Some patrons faced delays and order inaccuracies, leading to disappointment, particularly regarding dietary restrictions. Popular menu items, such as the Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles, receive rave reviews for their quality and flavor. Diners can enjoy excellent drink specials and a unique setting near ASU Gammage. Despite its inconsistencies, The Normal Diner remains a charming spot worth exploring for its local Latinx-inspired cuisine.
