However, there was a noticeable downside: at 11:30 AM on a Saturday, they had already run out of plain croissants. The flavors of the food I tried were okay but not particularly impressive. I ordered the roast beef and provolone cheese lunch combo, which comes with a half pickle and chips for $12, and another build-your-own sandwich with sausage, avocado, and tomato for about $11. After lunch, I wanted to use my laptop, but the noise level made it difficult to concentrate, so I decided to leave. Perhaps that's why the outdoor tables were occupied while the inside was mostly empty; many customers seem to prefer takeout. We also tried two pastries from the pre-made selection, with chocolate and raspberry fillings. They were satisfactory but not exceptional, priced at around $4 each.
My wife and I decided to drop in on a whim to explore something new. We ended up buying a half-dozen croissants in different flavors, and every single one was absolutely delicious. The gentleman at the front counter was very friendly and showed clear passion for what they make. We will definitely be returning!
I spent my childhood in Tempe for 12 years and have fond memories of enjoying various types of croissants from P Croissant on weekend mornings. I was always fascinated by the intricate designs on top of each pastry. Recently, I had the opportunity to revisit P Croissant as an adult while in Arizona for work, and I was just as impressed as I was back then. I’ve come to realize that French baking, especially crafting croissants, is incredibly challenging. While I didn’t appreciate this as a child, I certainly do now, and it’s clear just how skilled they are at it. Now that I live far away and don't have access to any French bakeries, I often think about P Croissant. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to wake up early and grab some croissants while you can—they're truly special and will be gone before you know it.
I had lunch there yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches were fantastic and looked exactly like the pictures, which is quite rare! They were generously filled with meat and served on a delightful croissant. I took home two stuffed croissants and enjoyed them for breakfast this morning. The restaurant is a bit hard to find, as it’s located in the back corner of the shopping center, and it could use some improvement in its interior decor. However, overall, it was a wonderful experience!
My partner and I discovered this restaurant by chance, and we decided to explore some new flavors. We ordered a half dozen croissants in different varieties, and each one was a real treat. The gentleman at the front counter was very friendly and clearly passionate about what he does. We will definitely return!
