Cafe Seating
Description
Nestled near campus, this compact Whole Foods blends fresh produce, well‑curated meats and standout prepared items (notably tiramisu and brown‑sugar bacon) with amenities like a juice bar, nut‑butter grinders and an Amazon pickup hub. Friendly staff and prompt issue resolution complement indoor/outdoor seating, Wi‑Fi and recycling stations. However, inconsistent restocking, limited supplement choices and premium prices — plus occasional safety signage gaps — mean shoppers should call ahead for specific items to avoid disappointment.

If you're looking for something specific, don’t hesitate to call ahead—I often do this for steaks, chicken from the meat department, and the rotisserie chicken from prepared foods. One benefit of a smaller store is that you can get in and out more quickly; I rarely have trouble finding what I need. I understand that some customers may be searching for a specific brand of supplement or a particular dosage, but it’s unreasonable to expect Whole Body to stock 20 brands of Vitamin C or Chromium when most shoppers just need a few reliable options. Keep in mind that Amazon owns Whole Foods, and they have an Amazon Pickup/Return center here, which is incredibly convenient for those times when you need to return an item or ensure a safe delivery. They also feature machines where you can grind your own almond or peanut butter, which is a fantastic perk. I often bring my senior dog with me, but I make sure he stays in a secure carrier since he’s small; he’s a charming little guy, and the staff always enjoy seeing him. The bathrooms require a code that changes regularly, ensuring they stay clean and well-maintained. Parking can be a bit challenging because it's located in an upstairs garage, but the drive up the hill is enjoyable, and coming back down after shopping is nice. We're fortunate to have a Whole Foods Market so close to ASU, and I recommend checking out the juice bar, especially for those without a Vitamix at home; they have a great selection. Overall, I can’t think of anything negative to say. The team members are friendly, self-checkout is simple, and I'm very happy with this new location.
I stopped by for a much-needed snack, and I was pleased to see that their produce always appears fresh. They offered a few free samples in the area, which was a nice touch. There were so many appetizing food items to choose from, including prepared meals sold by the pound, with plenty of options for vegans as well. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and inside, I noticed they use recycled utensils and napkins, along with a dedicated recycling area. There's parking available on the street and in a lot, and they also provide WiFi.
The staff was friendly, and the location was easy to reach. The pizza was quite good for the Friday prime price of $12.
This Whole Foods is the most understocked one I've ever visited. The refrigerator section is often empty and rarely restocked, and the same goes for the self-serve food area. Instead of addressing the lack of food options, they've opted to install an in-store bar, as if the campus didn't already have enough drinking spots. The prices here are exorbitant, and the food seems specifically designed to overcharge customers. Save your money and skip the sushi; it's primarily just rice and comes without any condiments. Everything else is offered in limited quantities at premium prices. If you're looking for a better shopping experience, head over to Trader Joe's just a few blocks away, where you'll pay a fraction of the cost for far superior food, and get much larger portions. This place is truly disappointing.
This is one of the smaller Whole Foods stores I've visited, but the management pays great attention to detail. They have a good and fresh selection of meats and seafood, and the produce is always fresh and well-stocked. I recently purchased a probiotic for $60, but when I got home, I discovered it was expired. I returned to the store and received a compensation along with a $30 gift card. Issues can arise from time to time, but it’s how you handle them that truly matters!
