A good selection of well kept 5 real ales (including a mild or stout). Good homecooked food at reasonable prices. Recommend the Fish Chips, the hand-cut chips are delicious. Dog friendly, family friendly. Very cool in hot weather! View all feedback.
What Carys68 doesn't like about The Kynnersley Arms:
As a vegetarian I was delighted to have a large choice! The menu was huge, and when I saw how larger was including specials, I thought they could possibly produce so many things at high quality. I was wrong....the vegetable moussaka was divine (portion too large for me though) and the other main meal also very skilfully prepared and cooked. We were very impressed with the service along with the quality if the meal...... View all feedback.
Recently, we had to take a detour to get back on the A458 near Much Wenlock when we stumbled upon The Mill at Leighton. After deciding to return a few days later, we were not disappointed. My husband enjoyed whitebait, roast beef, and ice cream while I opted for a veggie pie with an Eton Mess for dessert. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. We will definitely be returning with family and friends. Thank you.
Visited about 7 years ago whilst on holiday and it was average, we now live in the area and when we found out it was under new community ownership we thought we'd give it another try. So glad we did
I made a reservation for Mother's Day lunch and the restaurant was very crowded as anticipated. Despite my concerns, I was pleased to find that the service and food were still excellent. It was clear that the restaurant was well-managed and organized. The waitstaff were all friendly, accommodating, and had a good sense of humor. We will definitely be coming back. P.S. The Butty Bach was too delicious - a shame! Thank you.
A friend and I visited this restaurant for lunch on Saturday, November 19th. I was greeted by a friendly voice when I made a reservation over the phone, and we were welcomed by a helpful lady upon arrival. We sat by an open log fire on a cold day and enjoyed pints of real ale from a selection of six. The meals we ordered, minted lamb hotpot and venison casserole with dauphinoise potato topping, were both excellent and reasonably priced. The desserts were also delicious. The service was prompt, friendly, and not intrusive. Overall, we had a great experience at this pub and would like to thank them. The only suggestion I have is for the reviews to be updated under the pub's new name.
Now known as *THE MILL at LEIGHTON*; used to frequent this pub in the mid nineties as a close friend from University lived in the village. Have very fond memories of the establishment wanted to show my wife, kids dogs, as we were passing enroute back from Wales. New ownership now (five locals I’m led to believe), has given it a real boost. Friendly staff, nice assistant mangeress looked after us today, attentive young lad looked after us with food order. Couldn’t fault the experience; still retains the olde pub charm with beautiful mill, now great home cooked food, wine cask ales. Well done to the team that now steer this wise ship…..in the past it had changed hands the experience was unpredictable; it’s now a credit to the new owners feel quietly confident it will do very well. First class!
