Great village pub, large car park, outside tables and lovely cosy pub. Bonus of being really dog friendly. Food at lunch time was gorgeous, specials board and full menu, chose the cottage pie with a bubble and squeak topping served with roast potatoes and three veg. Generous portions and yummy. Homemade cakes and coffee available as well as all the normal selection of alcohol. View all feedback.

It is great to see the Highweek still survives in an age of so many pubs shutting up shop. Came here for maybe the last time, for old times sake, after losing our final link to Highweek. First had a drink here before my wedding 25 years ago, and many more in between. The menu was a bit limited Gammon, egg and chips, scampi and Chips, and from the left field, Liver, bacon and mash. We went off menu and added cheesy chips to that. All were perfectly passable (although we swerved the liver and bacon, as no one really eats that anyway). The open fire was very cosy, but make sure the landlady doesn't see you give it a poke if you want to avoid a stern rebuke. Decent beer Jail Ale and a good selection of keg beers. Hope it's still there in another 25 years.
A cold Monday evening, lovely wood fire burning. Pleased there was decaf coffee. Ordered x2 ham egg chips, food was under £20. The photo is of my dinner but partner gave me his egg, hence 3 in the picture. I think because of the ham we were given cold plates, so everything got cold quickly, so next time I’ll request hot plates. Friends had scampi chips had hot plates. Nice pub, good parking toilets are very clean-lots to like.
This evening we had a demonstration on how to use a defibrillator. Thank you to all that made this happen. The highweek is a great village pub, everyone welcome, children and dogs. The food is great and the staff are always amazing. Highly recommended

But ordered a beef dinner and a chicken dinner .the meals arrived very small servings. Chicken was a chicken beast sorry but no. It should of been sliced chicken .. Frozen Yorkshire puddings and peas as far as I'm concerned peas are not a vegetable for a Sunday dinner that's a cope out also asked for mustard and horseradish which arrived to be given a tiny spoonful of mustard all they could find..for Over £9 .was not value for money staff very what ever .
