We waited a long time before anyone acknowledged us, despite the place not being busy—there was only one other diner while we were there. The food was subpar as well; I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich that lacked any spice and came on a stale bun. The slaw was not only unappetizing but also super sticky. My husband had a burger, and he remarked that the meat had an off taste. We didn’t bring any of our concerns to the staff because no one bothered to check on us. The service was quite poor; I even had to go to the counter to process my payment. The other customer dining at the same time left a lot of his food uneaten and also had to stand around looking for someone to settle his bill. The food didn't meet my expectations, earning just a 2 out of 5. The service was particularly lacking, receiving a 1 out of 5 due to slow response times and inattentive staff. However, the atmosphere was somewhat pleasant, so I gave it a 3 out of 5. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

She engaged us in friendly conversation, and it felt like we were instant friends. The food was exceptional. My friend ordered a large omelette that was delicious, while I enjoyed a bagel topped with capers and smoked salmon—the salmon was delightful. The bagels are freshly made on-site, as I suspect is true for everything on the menu. I had to resist glancing at the dessert counter, which was overwhelmingly tempting! This restaurant isn't just about satisfying your hunger; it's an experience to cherish. I absolutely loved it! Waited over 10 mins before we were even talked to and eventually got a drink. Iced tea was out today apparently and so was the lasagna. We ordered Irish nachos which were okay at best. Apparently they were out of waffle fries as well because allegedly that 's what was supposed to come on them but instead hit regular fries. My Beer Brawt was okay but the hot dog bun (really? was hard. My fiancé 's chicken sandwich was severely disappointing as it tasted like fish. I tried it myself and it was bad. Service was mediocre at best and to top it off the brownie for dessert was hard as well. Thankfully the brownie was given to us because we waited so long. All this and there was about 10 people total inside. Oh, and I forgot to mention the appetizer was brought out with the regular food... Ugh. Disappeared but will give it a try more more time soon. I 'm thinking breakfast or maybe try the pizza. Come on Tehachapi... We can do better
