We love this little bar in Teguise market. On Sunday 's it 's always busy with both tourists and locals. The wine menu is limited, red, white or Rose! But they 're goid drinkable wines, there 's also beers, coffees, soft drinks etc on offer. Food is small portions, tapas style. Can highly recommend the mini savoury pastries, and the goats cheese with honey and dates yummy! This bar makes a great change from the usual... View all feedback.
What M672URandrewf doesn't like about Taberna Barbazul:
Nice courtyard for a glass or 2 but no meny, no food even though we were told yes. Went next door again to Loris for another superb tapas over looking the squae. View all feedback.
On peering into the bar [empty on a non-market day] the proprietor suggested that we may like to have a drink in the patio area. It was beautiful. Interesting archtecture with plants adorning the whole place and with comfortable seating arrangements. We enjoyed the tapas provided with our first drink, which was so good that we decided to have another round, with another enjoyable tapas. The proprietor was charming, and she seemed very pleased that we were pleased with her establishment
My wife and I visit here whenever we are in Lanzarote. Situated in a small square, it is a terrific place just to sit and watch the Teguise world meander past. The staffs are always very welcoming and helpful, and the food, though plain, is always fresh and tasty. While I am not routinely a fan of pink wine, the in-house Barbazul pink is absolutely terrific and perfect with a few tuna pasties on a hot and sunny day. Lovely little place staffed by very nice people....
We have visited this wine bar on several occasions on our holidays to Lanzarote. We love it so much that I celebrated my 50th Birthday there with locals and friends who flew out with us for the occasion. All the staff are excellent and the owner Almudena is the epitome of a hostess. Her home made Canarian tapas is second to none and the wine exceptional. On a Sunday afternoon there is no better place to relax and listen to a Canarian band play traditional and contemporary music while sampling the cuisine and drinking in both the wine and the atmosphere. Our advice is to spend the morning strolling round the Sunday market and then the rest of the day in Taberna Barbazul. Enjoy!
We were here on sunday afternoon. A Cuban band was playing. Not too crowded. Good tapas, reasonable prices. Friendly service.

It 's very busy, but there 's an internal courtyard if you need seating for a bigger party.
