El Pastelito - Teguise

As we were driving up to Omar Sharif‘s house, we passed this magnificent patisserie and café. It is completely and utterly unassuming from the outside, but on visiting inside the selection of cakes, coffees and breads is absolutely stunning well worth a visit. Just be wary that it is only open 07.30 am till 2:30 in the afternoon

We called for a light bite in the afternoon. The cakes all looked amazing and the ones we tried didn’t disappoint. Chocolate tart and lemon meringue. Coffees are very good too. Well worth a visit

On the road to the Jardin de Cactus via Tahiche is this great cafe/patisserie. Managed to get the last table as it looked like lots of locals were enjoying eating in. We had three freshly made large sandwiches/filled rolls, four drinks and four huge patisseries which came to just over €20. It's counter service which was very busy but manageable if you have more than one pair of hands to help. Staff speak some English which helps when you order in Spanish but then don't know enough to understand them asking if you want to eat in or takeaway!! Definitely recommend a visit if you are nearby. Kids loved it.

Drove up to the north of the island of Lanzarote on Saturday afternoon. On the way up to the north passed a very nice looking cake shop in Tahiche, called El Pastelito . From the outside it looks so good that we made a mental note to call-in on the way back. What a good job that we did!! Pleasant surroundings good car parking space and to display cabinet 's full of the most delightful and delicious looking cakes and pastries that you would ever hope to find. It took the three of us over four minutes to decide eventually what to have. Our son was so undecided that he had one pastry with his coffee in the shop and took another pastry home to eat as part of his supper that evening. not only was the variety of cakes and pastries outstanding they also do a very very nice line of home-made speciality breads. I can personally recommend the pumpkin bread as superb. All in all a very nice coffee shop the coffee is most drinkable the selection of pastries and cakes is arguably the best on the island and the speciality breads are a must. For the bread for cakes to coffee and a fruit juice the total came to around €13 which is not expensive by the stretch of anyone 's imagination. I would personally take a D tour in order to sample their ways and will do so when next on the island.

We were driving along LZ1 on our way back from Timanfaya back to Punta Mujeres and noticed this place for a quick stop for a snack. We were pleasantly surprised! A popular patisserie and coffee meeting spot for the locals. There are so many sweet options it is hard to choose. We walled away with multiple pastries for a bargain price we will be going Back tomorrow. Highly recommend !
