The... read more We visited Roots in Teddington for lunch yesterday with a large family group—my two kids, my mum, my brother and his family—and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. The menu isn’t huge, but that’s what makes it special. It’s clear they focus on doing a select few dishes exceptionally well rather than offering too much. The flavors were fantastic, with the lamb standing out as particularly tender, flavorful, and free from the usual fat or stringiness. What truly made the visit memorable was how attentive they were to the children. The staff went out of their way to care for them, and the kids’ meals arrived quickly, which is such a relief when dining with little ones. The atmosphere felt relaxed and genuinely welcoming, not forced. It’s a lovely spot with great food and a warm, family-friendly vibe.
