We had planned to go to another restaurant, but they we... read more I made a quick trip to Tecate with a friend to make sure there were no problems with their new passport. We had planned to go to another restaurant, but they weren't open yet. I decided to give El Don de Comer an attempt... although I usually go solo on my first time to a restaurant. The best way to describe our breakfast? Very satisfied!!! My friend had the Camarones Relleno Omelette and I went for the special Chiliaquiles con Cremoso Chipotle. In English, my friend had an omelette filled with shrimp and cheese, accompanied by retried beans and crumby potatoes. I had chiliaquiles in a chipotle cream sauce, also with retried beans and crooked potatoes. The potatoes were not salty, but I had some unknown herbs and spices. She had two bottles of coke and I had two jamaika glasses. We also decided to complete the breakfast with a pastry. She had a postre con queso cheese pastries) and I had a postre con queso y datil cheese pastries with appointments). Everything was great, and the bill was less than $20!!!

Very simple location, looked like they were trying to give this place a new wave look. This is an old converted house. Plain walls, simple furnishings, reminded me of an empty room....price was reasonable, menu had little choices, staff was friendly, but I had to call several times to get service. Place wasn't full, so I know they weren't busy.

Very delicious, nice po... read more We are here several times, just recently for breakfast on Sunday morning and today. Breakfast was both delicious, the Chilaquiles tried. Very delicious, nice portions of all items on the plate. Here this place becomes the slowest place to eat. On Sunday we waited for over 30 minutes to finally make us good. Almost an hour today. We just wanted to go out when we finally got our food. We were told that the cooking staff is down and the plates are slowly coming out. But for an hour we felt that the waiters were the cookers because they would disappear in the back if we gave our order and later we couldn't get anything. Time for owners yo wake up or everyone starts to leave.
