Very authentic, takes you back to a bygone era of guitar trios and the days of your grandmothers heyday,my girlfriend and i were camping at pio pico campground in jamul,we decided we would have a nice drive in the back country of san diego to Tecate mexico to experience some authentic mexican food,during my search online i noticed the sign painted on the wall of a barbacoa restuarant off the beaten path.it read caldo de medulla,i wanted to surprise my lao girlfriend with something different so when we got there i ordered the barbacoa in two bowls with its own juices as a caldo,then we tried the caldo de medulla in two seperate bowls it came in a sweet and tangy plum tomatoe consome with pork and chicken the medulla was white and tender and very delicious ,wish the bowl was full of medulla in that delicious tomatoey broth, my lao girlfriend loved it ,go try it you will love it to
