Had to stop in to hawk's nest to pick up a laptop stopped in to get some lunch it was absolutely delicious also great service this was straight across the road aswell nice little spot

We visited the Tea Gardens at the start of the Easter break and enjoyed the best fish and chips there. We ordered the cocktail and chips meal, which includes six battered and deep-fried fish cutlets served with chips. One serving was more than enough for the two of us, as we aren't very big eaters. However, we were a bit disappointed with the prawn cutlets. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for a meal if you're in the area. Highly recommended!

The local fish and chips here are absolutely delicious. I ordered the whiting based on a recommendation and it definitely lived up to the hype. My wife’s grilled barramundi was also cooked perfectly. The location is fantastic, and I would highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Today was a bit of a mixed experience. The calamari and squid were excellent, but the fish and chips didn't quite hit the mark. However, the family enjoyed the meal overall, which is what really matters. We spent around $80 for four adults and two children, and everyone was satisfied and left feeling full! We also tried to visit yesterday, but a customer outside mentioned he had been waiting for 40 minutes. It might be worth considering some flexibility in that regard.

Absolutely recommend having a serve of fish and chips here. Decent serve and lovely. Not over cooked at all was perfect. Staff are great too. Sit outside at their tables or walk across the road and eat by the river.
